Brianne Boulter is a Senior Manager at Weaver, LLP based in Fort Worth, Texas where she focuses on helping people and companies across the energy industry with risk, governance and compliance issues. Brianne began her public accounting career at Weaver, LLP in 2005 where she developed a strong background in risk advisory services. She transitioned her career to industry for several years working as an Assistant Controller for a private upstream oil and gas company where she obtained extensive experience in accounting and financial analysis. Due to her passion for excellent client service and providing guidance to others, she re-joined Weaver, LLP in 2013. She specializes in the energy industry in the following practice areas; Internal Audit (both outsourced and co-sourced), Enterprise Risk Management, Joint Interest Audit (expenditure and revenue), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Compliance, Business Process Improvement Consulting, and Accounting Assistance.


Brianne holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is a Certified Internal Auditor and also serves as a Board Member of the North Texas Women’s Energy Network as Co-Director of Special Events.

Sylvester Juru

Vice President

Sylvester worked in the industry for over 15 years and has been a member of COPAS for a majority of those years. He was a member of the Fort Worth COPAS back in 2004 to 2007 when he worked for XTO energy after graduating college from UTD where he majored in accounting and minored in Information management. He returned to the Dallas COPAS chapter, when he took on a Financial reporting Role at Encana Corporation in 2007. Sylvester took on several roles at Encana then worked at Chief Oil and Gas as Revenue Lead and System Conversion Consultant Magnum Hunter/ Blueridge Mountain energy. He found himself back here in Fort Worth in 2017 when he followed a couple of former colleagues from Magnum who had opened a new office at Lilis Energy in Fort Worth as a Sr Corporate Analyst. Sylvester am married with three kids and has recently settled in Aledo TX. Sylvester loves to run and play squash.

Andrew Stevens


Andrew earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Finance emphasis) from the University of Nebraska. He worked 4 years as a Statistical Analyst in the healthcare industry while pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree and earned a MBA (Accounting emphasis) from the University of Nebraska. Upon completing the MBA, was recruited by Exxon Mobil Corporation’s Tax Department in Houston as a Senior Tax Accountant, focused on corporate income tax compliance for various ExxonMobil subsidiaries. After a little over a year in the Tax Department, he transferred to XTO Energy in Fort Worth after its merger with ExxonMobil, working for 8 years in various roles within the Revenue Department. Andrew joined Lilis Energy in early 2018, currently serving as the Revenue & Production Accounting Manager, overseeing the team responsible for various tasks including: revenue accounting, production reporting, severance tax reporting/remittance, royalty disbursements, production volume forecasting/analysis, and related SEC financial reporting duties.

Teresa Garza

Programs Chair

Teresa Garza is a North Texas accounting leader in the energy industry. To her practice, Teresa brings more than ten years of experience in a variety of industries, primarily upstream and midstream energy. She helps her clients who are predominantly partnerships, corporations, and S corporations, plan for meeting their tax compliance obligations. Teresa delivers tax advice and consultation regarding complex tax matters including subchapter K, provision for income taxes, mergers and acquisitions, entity formation, international and multi-state filing requirements.Teresa holds CPA licenses in three states; Texas, Kansas and Missouri. She is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Dallas Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA), Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA), and Young Professionals in Energy (YPE). Teresa currently holds leadership roles, serving on the board of directors for energy-related professional organizations, such as the Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies (COPAS) and the Women’s Energy Network (WEN). Formerly, she served on the board of Women’s Finance Exchange (WFE). Teresa graduated with a Master of Science in taxation and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of North Texas.

Mark McCaghren

Mark has over a decade of professional accounting and finance experience, working for both publicly-traded and privately-held oil and gas companies in the E&P, Midstream, and Oilfield Services sectors. He currently works for Baseline Energy Services, LP in Fort Worth, TX as the Corporate Controller, where he leads the accounting and finance group for the Power Solutions provider.

Jolynn Tizeno

Social Media Chair

Jolynn has over 18 years of Oil and Gas Accounting Experience in the areas of Joint Interest Accounting, Revenue, Land, Account Payables, and Accounts Receivables. In her current position as and Oil and Gas Consultant  she is working in Senior Accountant Roles focusing on Revenue and Joint Interest Accounting. Industry experience includes working for Outsourcing/Consulting Firms, and Oil and Gas companies in Management and Senior Accountant Roles.  She worked for Marathon Oil Corporation as a Professional Analysts, IBM as an Oil and Gas Accountant, Cimarex Energy as a Senior JIB Accountant,  CGI Technologies as an Executive Consultant and Trust Oil and Gas Operations Manager, and Lilis Energy as the Operations Accounting Manager.

Amanda Bartlett

Special Events and Communications Chair

Amanda has been employed with EOG Resources for 12 years. She spent the first 5 years in Accounts Payable, later transitioning into General Accounting. Prior to her time at EOG she held various Accounts Receivable and Payable positions, working with both for profit and non-profit entities. She has been an active COPAS member since 2014, and was involved with the National Mentoring Program Advisory Committee from 2015 – 2017. Amanda holds a degree in Accounting.
