12:00pm: Speaker Elizabeth Lions, Lionsology, will present on ‘How to Develop Influential Power at Work' - Two years ago or more, employers stopped asking for soft skills on job ads and started asking for influential skills. The ability to communicate – and more importantly – influence - across, up and down in a matrix environment is the most valuable skill you can learn. It’s also one of the hardest to develop. Influence is a key skill that can be developed which can help you become more productive, foster teamwork and possibly even be identified as a leader and get the promotion. Elizabeth will be the first to tell you – if you aren’t in – you’re out. Elizabeth will illustrate that you don’t have to have a big title to influence or have the top salary.

Elizabeth Lions: Elizabeth is an international speaker and author on career management and leadership. She is the author of three books, ‘Recession Proof Yourself’ and “I Quit! Working for You Isn't Working For Me” Her third book was released in 2017 on leadership and is entitled, “Hear Us Roar - Unapologetic Women Leading in Corporate America”. Her words have reached as far as the front page of the Philadelphia Tribune, PBS, CBS Money Watch, Dale Carnegie and John Tesh’s blog.
